What the letters mean
S and A are the first coin purchases a new account can use. B is support after you have damage. C waits for level 30 or 8,000 Coins. D waits for level 100 or 175. Gem towers are in the Hardcore guide instead of this board.

S tier
Player decision Buy it once the opening waves are stable. In-match cash from economy is what pays later upgrades. It will not save a wave-1 leak, so Scout or Soldier still has to hold the path.
A tier
Player decision Add it beside free Scout and cliff Sniper. Upgrade one copy before you fill the map with level 0 towers.
Player decision Buy it when groups of enemies walk through single-target towers. Splash does not add hidden, flying, or lead detection.
Player decision Pay the 800 Coins unless you already want the bundle. The bundle is not required.
Player decision Take it after the sub-1,000 Coin towers, and keep 2,000 Coins in mind for Farm.
B tier
Player decision Buy it after a damage tower is worth buffing. One circle does not cover the whole map. Extra copies are how groups keep the buff up.
Player decision Buy the tower when several damage towers can stand in one circle. Do not buy the music pass for a combat change.
Player decision Buy Farm first. Buy Medic when stuns or cleanup are the reason you lose.
C tier
Player decision Buy it when Intermediate or Molten is already comfortable. The evolution is not included.
Player decision Take the level path with Fallen. Robux skips the wait, not the placement. Kingpin is a later evolution.
D tier
Player decision Wait until level 100 is close. The code does not unlock the tower.
Player decision Plan it last. The starter and intermediate shops are all available earlier.
